Lemon essential oil at high concentrations can make skin more sensitive to prolonged sun exposure. We follow the IFRA safety guidelines and use lemon essential oil at a safe level for ‘leave-on’ skin preparations. It is advised to avoid lemongrass oil when pregnant.
